Oquaga Creek State Park

ADDRESS

5995 County Route 20, Bainbridge, NY 13733

DESCRIPTION

This location traversing parts of Broome and Delaware Counties features 6 miles of trails. The Lake Trail takes you on a nice loop around Arctic Lake, but the remaining rustic trails offer even more to explore, with a link to the nearby regional Finger Lakes Trail system.

ACCESS

Park at the beach/swimming area.  The park can be reached from both the south (I-86) and north (I-88).  An entrance fee is charged in-season.

CHALLENGE – 2 to 3.5 mile loop (route dependent)

Hike a loop around the lake. This can be accomplished by combining the Lake Trail and Unnamed Yellow Trail for a shorter 2 mile hike or by connecting the Lake Trail to the Ski Trail via the access road for a longer hike up to 3.5 miles. Be sure to carefully review the map as well as save/print since cell service is spotty in this location.
