Hawkins Pond is a 24 acre pond located in the Town of Windsor. This area provides one of the more secluded hiking experiences in the County. The pond itself is located within a County Natural Area with 4 miles of trails. But that isn’t all there is to enjoy. The trail system connects to the neighboring Hawkins Pond State Forest for an even more rustic hike.
ACCESS
While the park’s address is on Scouten Road, you can park at the picnic shelter/pavilion at the south end of the park along Vromen Road.
CHALLENGE – 4 miles
From the picnic (shelter) pavilion on the south end of the park, hike up to the parking area on McAllister Road and back.
